I CAN DO…SO CAN YOU

I was diagnosed with a heart condition (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) over a decade ago. I have an enlarged heart. I have since gotten an ICD (Internal Cardio-Verter Defibrillator). I’m on my second one. This is where my ICD = I CAN DO comes from. In life, you have to motivate yourself. You will have to be your own coach. You will have to push yourself.

2 ICD’s and still going

I am a fitness enthusiast. From as young as I can remember I loved to run. As a got older I was introduced to weights! I remember my first bench. It was amazing being able to get stronger. In the process of time, I majored in Kinesiology and had the opportunity to work at a Gold’s Gym. I loved to work out and still do. I’ve run three 1/2 marathons, a few 10k’s and numerous 5k’s.

I’ve also created my own free 5k’s for people in my community and when I’m too cheap to pay for a real one! Ha. I don’t take my health for granted. I know that so many others would love to be able to work out. Every day of exercise is a blessing.

While I love to exercise I also love to eat! At times I’ve been called “Cakes” because I love birthday cake.

Thankfully, I’ve gotten my eating under control. You can’t outwork a bad diet! Just will not happen. But I will enjoy a couple of free meals a week where I will eat whatever I want. Last year I ate a 2lb donut! Yep! That was a bad idea. I don’t recommend it.

I am a blogger. I began blogging in 2017. I wanted to give it a shot and I’m glad I did.

I am an author. After reading “Choose Yourself” by James Altoucher and going through Shannon Ethridge’s B.L.A.S.T Program, I decided to begin writing books. I’m glad I did.
