I CAN DO…SO CAN YOU

I was diagnosed with a heart condition (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) over a decade ago. I have an enlarged heart. I have since gotten an ICD (Internal Cardio-Verter Defibrillator). I’m on my second one. This is where my ICD = I CAN DO comes from. In life, you have to motivate yourself. You will have to be your own coach. You will have to push yourself.

As a result of having an ICD, I often feel like IRON MAN. I AM IRON MAN!

LOL. Okay, okay, maybe not. But you gotta have fun, right? I’m a big Iron Man Fan.

I am a blogger.

My most popular book to date is my motivational Coloring Book “Color Your Way Through Chemo.” I was inspired to make this after seeing my wife having to go through chemo. IMG_6014

I am also a preacher. I’ve been preaching the gospel for 10 years (July 3 will make it exactly 10 years). WOW. God is good.

I am a fitness enthusiast. From as young as I can remember I loved to run. As a got older I was introduced to weights! I remember my first bench. It was amazing being able to get stronger. In the process of time, I majored in Kinesiology and had the opportunity to work at a Gold’s Gym. I loved to work out and still do. I’ve run three 1/2 marathons, a few 10k’s and numerous 5k’s.

I’ve also created my own free 5k’s for people in my community and when I’m too cheap to pay for a real one! Ha. I don’t take my health for granted. I know that so many others would love to be able to work out. Every day of exercise is a blessing.

Since I’m into fitness so much, I also decided to create my own workout shirts. They are found here. If you purchase one let me know and send me a photo of you in it. I will put you up on the website.

There are a variety of designs. This is one of them.

While I love to exercise I also love to eat! At times I’ve been called “Cakes” because I love birthday cake.

Thankfully, I’ve gotten my eating under control. You can’t outwork a bad diet! Just will not happen. But I will enjoy a couple of free meals a week where I will eat whatever I want. Last year I ate a 2lb. donut! Yep! That was a bad idea. I don’t recommend it.

If you ain’t eating Blue Bell Ice Cream, you ain’t eating Ice Cream! BOOM

In 2017, I was asked to give two motivational talks at a Fitness Camp with Bill Phillips.

I also love to travel. I’m working on visiting all of the continents. 4 down, 3 to go! Let’s go. Still gotta get to South America, Australia, and Antartica. Lord willing, I will make it happen. Life is short. Live like you’re dying.
