“Learn and Earn.” Just read this quote in a book I’m reading with my son (Way of the Warrior Kid) by Jocko Willink.

I like it. Do you? If you want to grow in life, you must learn. Read. Then read some more.

Then you must put it into action. It’s not enough to merely read. You must grow. You must put in the work. You must earn it.

My motto is “I CAN DO.” To have an “I CAN DO” mindset, we will have to Learn and then Earn. Go get it.

I CAN DO and SO CAN YOU. Life is all about having the right kind of attitude. We will face challenges. We have to decide how we will respond. Getting an ICD (Internal Cardio-Verter Defibrillator) in 2010 forced me to make a decision about my mindset. I decided that I CAN DO. What about you? Let's go. 1. I’m reminded of Private Ryan, when Tom Hank’s dying character says to Ryan “Earn it.” We need to earn what we learn. Knowledge gained without application is useless bits and bytes embedded in our skull.

  2. I’m sending this post to my daughter; I think she’ll love it. I see this same attitude bringing her success in her life!
