The SomeDay Workout Routine

I recently read an article on Linkedin that intrigued me.

This article focused on Planet Fitness. I used to have a membership at Planet Fitness. I won’t go into all of the details, but it took a LOOONG time to cancel my membership. They make it extremely difficult to cancel.

What caught my attention is how gyms like Planet Fitness know that the majority of people who sign up, will ultimately fail to show up. And while many will never use the gym they are paying for, they will also not cancel their membership. Why? Because of the “Someday mentality.” Many believe that eventually, they will get around to working out. This is so true. I saw it first-hand years ago while working at a Gold’s Gym. Tons of people would sign up in January and by March they would be gone.

Someday I will workout.

Someday I will eat better.

Someday I will run that 5k.


The Someday workout mindset and routine is very appealing. But it’s a LIE.

Therefore, it’s time to breakthrough. It’s time to make a change mentally.

Change can come in an instant. Are you ready for it?

You could actually save your money and just go for a walk outside. Whether or not you decided to join a gym, avoid the someday routine.

It will only disappoint you.

Now is the TIME. You deserve this. You are worth it.

Your health is important. Now start acting like it is.

  1. I am a fan of Planet Fitness, but you are right, if you are not using it, you need to cancel it.
